Having voted to leave the EU in 2016, it took 5 years of vicious infighting and political skulduggery to finally break free from Brussels and become a sovereign state again after 48 years as a vassal state. That wasn’t fighting with Brussels, that was infighting with our own politicians in Westminster!
Though not a perfect Brexit, we are at least free of the EU. We are out, but haven’t yet taken advantage of the full benefits available. That isn’t the fault of Brexit, the blame lies squarely with our political opponents in the House of Commons and pro-EU mandarins in Whitehall.
In the coming months there will be a General Election, and that’s when our troubles will begin, that’s when the greatest threat to Brexit will occur!
The day after GE2024 the composition of the House of Commons will have changed dramatically. The Labour Party is, according to current polling, on target to be win 450+ seats. The Tories will become a weak opposition with barely over100 seats. This implies a parliament of at least 600 pro-rejoin MPs with only 50 Brexiteers.
Yes, you read that correctly!
The very vocal rejoin EU lobby will be emboldened.
Their EU supporters in the mainstream media; BBC, SKY, ITV, CHANNEL 4 and of course printed media like The Guardian, Financial Times and many others, will be in full attack mode, shilling day in and day out to hold a new referendum. Brussels will almost certainly provide astronomical amounts of money to groups in the UK to swing the referendum their way. Why wouldn’t they? The UK rejoining the EU would have to pay up to £30 billion annually, it would be well worth the investment from Brussels.
With just 50 or so pro-Brexit MPs in opposition, there would be scant resistance to Keir Starmer’s proposal to hold another in/out referendum. The vast EU funds would be paid to the ‘on-board’ media and talking heads to blitz us with pro-EU propaganda.
Within 3 years of a Labour government, we would be losing the pound, walking away from over 100 hard-earned free trade agreements and again, dumping our growing trade with the commonwealth. It would be an economic disaster, just when we are about to begin benefiting from CPTPP and a hundred other trade deals with the rest of the booming world economies, we would find ourselves shackled to the imploding EU again.
We must not let this happen. We must begin to organise now…RIGHT NOW, the question is HOW?
Let’s explore our options.
If we believe the stonking Labour majority isn’t inevitable. Then we must get behind a political party that is 100% anti-EU membership. There is only one with a headstart, polling at around 13% and that is Reform Party UK. The Tory party is – at best – only 50% anti-EU. So voting Reform instead of Conservative would give us 100 Brexiteer MPs instead of just 50. However, if we could mobilise some or all of those 17,410,742 people who voted for Brexit to vote Reform Party UK, then we would have a parliamentary majority of anti-EU members and that would kill the threat of rejoining the failing EU.
The threat of another EU referendum is more than real, as things stand it is inevitable. We must prepare now and mount a strong challenge to save our newly won sovereignty.
Here at Brexit Democratic Alliance, we see the threat of another EU referendum clearly and guarantee Brussels will throw the kitchen sink at it with dodgy funding.
We are therefore asking you to join us here on this website and also follow our X/Twitter account @ActionBrexit and join our 26k strong Brexiteers to fight for our sovereignty.
Our new campaign begins with the hashtag #KeepBrexitDone – We need all the support we can get. Let’s build the momentum now! We must share our hashtag ‘Keep Brexit Done graphic’ everywhere, everyday to ensure we build a huge resistance to another EU referendum.
