Just 2 years ago, as the UK finally and officially left the declining and chaotic EU, we warned that the remainers and rejoiners would never stop trying to get us back into the clutches of the Brussels, unelected elite.
We were absolutely correct. It was also obvious that this would not just be the EU sycophants on the left.
The vast majority of MPs in Parliament were remainers, David Cameron’s Tory government were comprised of mostly remainers and campaigned against Brexit during the lead up to the EU referendum in 2016.
4 years of undemocratic sabotage followed in an effort to stop Brexit. A 2nd referendum was proposed by the losers, whilst the really sore losers even suggested the decision to leave was ignored completely.
When Boris Johnson won the General election of 2019 – on the promise to ‘GET BREXIT DONE’ – his 80 seat majority looked unassailable, many Brexiteers around the country, rightly or wrongly, assumed the issue was settled and took their foot off the gas.
But as we warned, the scorned and wounded elites of remain went back to their bunkers to plan and scheme, with the sole intention of getting the UK back under the control of the unelected Brussels bureaucrats.
The 2019 General election saw many EU loving, dripping-wet Tory MPs unceremoniously kicked out of Parliament. It was a hollow victory for Vote Leave supporters, as many Tory MPs who tried to subvert our referendum victory still remained in the Conservative Party and of course the house of commons.
So, as the phoney Covid pandemic began to dominate public discourse, the cross-party insurrectionists, led by Adonis, Grieve, Heseltine and others, began to plan their strategy.
They recruited EU fanatics from all parties. The target was to be Boris Johnson, the only man they needed to defeat. With Boris removed, the Tory wets still had enough influence over the party to replace him with a pro-EU leader, such as; Jeremy Hunt, Tobias Ellwood or any Boris hating candidate – there are quite a few.
Unfortunately for the plotters, Boris, against his own judgment, decided to follow Covid advice from the scientists – most of them left leaning pro-EU civil servants – this resulted in the insurrectionists being out-foxed by Boris when they tried to pin the Covid death-rate on him.
So, they decided to go for the man. WallpaperGate and CurtainGate followed and the extreme-left mainstream media provided traction. These pathetic attempts to bring down Boris were never off our TV screens or the front pages of the Guardian and Daily Mirror – but still Boris clung on.
Getting desperate, the cross-party insurrectionists, who had sat on the Partygate story, in the Times, for over a year decided to go all out. It was their last throw of the dice. This story too gained media attraction. It was working well until a couple of students filmed Keir Starmer quaffing beer and eating curry in Durham. The left and anti Boris dripping-wet Tories were now in the spotlight, thanks to Brexiteers across social media. Within days, the EU sycophants went silent and insisted the investigation of Sir Keir and the Met’s closure of the Boris investigation was no longer important enough to talk about.
So, where are we now?
One of the underlying tactics in the strategy to get rid of Boris – the only man who could keep Brexit alive – was to goad the remaining Tory rebels into forcing a vote of no confidence in their leader. The first one failed earlier this year and many of the disloyal Tory MPs, who handed in their letters to Graham Brady, withdrew them.
Undeterred, they waited for the Sue Gray report. Yet, although the report was full of holes and no doubt tainted by the Boris hating barrister who advised on it, the insurrectionists had no alternative. Enabled by their anti-Brexit cabal in the mainstream media, they have gone all-out to resurrect the ‘vote of no confidence’ failed tactic.
It seems some further Tory MPs have lost their taste for the fight to sit on the fence and have been influenced by the leading Tory rebels to add their names and letters to Graham Brady’s in-tray. This rehashed, attempt to oust Boris has rejuvenated those Brexiteers and Boris supporters to get behind the only man who had the resolve to ‘Get Brexit Done’ – Boris is now the only man who can ‘Keep Brexit Done’ – perhaps this should be the new hashtag for Brexiteers.
What happens next is very much an unknown. Will Boris survive and #KeepBrexitDone, or will he be replaced by Tobias Ellwood who has duplicitously and openly called for the UK to rejoin the EU single market – knowing that if he were successful, we would have to become, once again, a vassal state of the EU.
